Sony Shared a Sneak Peek at the Gravity Rush Movie at CES

Not much, just a character leaping off a building.

During the recent CES 2024 press conference, Sony shared a glimpse of the upcoming Gravity Rush movie. They didn't share much, except for the character leaping off the building, just like in the game. Then, the scene jumps between a motion capture session from the movie and actual footage of the movie.

In the final scene, the character dives into a floating city under attack by a massive winged demon enemy. This footage was featured in a video showcasing Sony's new advanced visualization facility, Torchlight, designed to bring future projects to life. While Gravity Rush wasn't a part of the discussion, it was exciting to see a sneak peek of the upcoming movie.

Gravity Rush was first released on the PlayStation Vita in 2012 and gained huge success. It was later adapted for the Play Station 4 and received a sequel. Created by PlayStation Japan Studio, the games were praised by critics but did not perform well in terms of sales.

Speaking of the movie adaptation, as we reported back in 2022, Gravity Rush is said to be directed by Anna Mastro, known for Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, and written by Emily Jerome (Panopticon).
