Spider-Verse-Inspired Stylized Shader Made With Substance 3D & Unreal

The setup utilizes atmospheric lights inputs and Normal Maps to generate additional shadowing.

Have a look at this fantastic stylized paint shader created by Technical Artist and Game Designer Gabriel de Laubier, also known as Elbriga. Inspired by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the shader was set up in Substance 3D Designer and Unreal Engine, and according to the creator, "uses atmospheric lights inputs (Sky+Sun) and Normal Maps manipulation to generate additional shadowing". As stated by the author, the shader is currently WiP and will be further refined, improved, and "combined with some post-process effects" sometime in the future.

Once the shader is complete, the author also plans to release a comprehensive breakdown of the project, so we highly encourage you to visit Elbriga's Twitter page so as not to miss any future updates.
