Stunning Blender-Made Scene from Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom

3D Artist Thomas Marcos showcased his work on the movie's scene.

3D Artist Thomas Marcos showcased this marvelous scene depicting the sunset in historical Shanghai, created for the movie Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom. The project was completed in collaboration with Benuts Studio.

According to the artist, the objective was to capture an immersive atmosphere aligning with the director's vision and integrate advanced techniques for high-quality rendering. The artist shared that the foreground was created using Maya and Arnold, while vegetation was designed in Blender and rendered with Cycles.
