Stylized Sombre 2D Clip Inspired by Mike Mignola's Art Made with Blender

A new fascinating work by Andrey Negrúl.

Check out this fascinating stylized clip with a distinct aesthetic, created by 3D Artist Andrey Negrúl.

The short story is about a lonely man living in the forest who finds something unusual and decides to bring it home. The clip's psychedelic and eerie vibes are supported by black-and-white colors with a 2D look and hand-painted texturing. The artist shared that he drew his inspiration from old Soviet cartoons, the works of Mike Mignola, and woodcut art.

According to the creator, modeling and rendering are made with Blender with flat shadeless rendering. Texturing is mostly completed using Substance 3D Painter. The textures are hand-painted, and a 2D look is achieved due to lit shading.
