Succession's Main Antagonist Logan Roy Recreated in 3D

Andrei Bejan has paid tribute to the award-winning show with an incredible new portrait.

Character Artist III at Cloud Imperium Games Andrei Bejan, known to many for his realistic 3D portraits, has paid tribute to HBO's award-winning show Succession with a new fantastic portrait depicting the series' main antagonist, Logan Roy, portrayed by brilliant Scottish actor Brian Cox.
Described as "a likeness study" by the creator, the portrait was made to practice sculpting an older person, with Andrei stating that creating the wrinkles and making the skin feel believable was "tons of fun". According to the author, the model was sculpted in ZBrush, textured in Substance 3D Painter, groomed in XGen, and rendered with Arnold, with Marvelous Designer having been used to set up the outfit.

Additionally, the author used TexturingXYZ's VFaces to create the skin details. "I'm so impressed by the quality you can achieve with them and how easy they are to use that I can't wait to play with them more in the future," commented Andrei. "I used the albedo as a base, a great starting point, on which I handpainted a lot of details and color variations."

"I was browsing for references for lighting and I stumbled upon some TIME magazine images, so I did a quick mockup of the character on the front cover of the TIME magazine just out of fun and I liked it, so I decided to keep it in the end."
