3D Artist Marco Mori, also known as macomoroni, showcased this video with insanely appealing visual effects animations.
This is a collection of artwork where the creator has applied visual effects to face and head images, creating representations of fantasy creatures that seem to have come from other worlds. The artwork was created using Houdini, the software most widely used for crafting surreal visual effects. Marco Mori explained that apart from Houdini as the main tool, they used iClone for facial mocap and Redshift.
The artist also shared that their creative journey in 3D started in 2016 with Cinema 4D, and then they transitioned to Houdini in 2021. To learn how to use the software and master its capabilities, Marco Mori advised addressing the official site of Houdini, various tutorials on YouTube and Patreon, such a resource with advanced tutorials for procedural design as Entagma, and tutorials on the website of 3D Artist Paul Esteves.
Also, take a look at this mesmerizing Houdini animation crafted by 3D Artist and Technical Director Matt Taylor, in which the creator visualized a 3D model of a famous wristwatch as a mathematical object, the Möbius strip:
