Take a Look at This Grotesquely Detailed Infected Flesh Material

This looks really cool, but it might be a little triggering if you have trypophobia.

Vadim Tougeron, Material and Texture Artist, shared on his ArtStation profile a material study he did using Substance 3D Designer.

The material has the appearance of infected flesh, as if a virus or toxic component affected the skin. The surface seems shiny, as if it were an open wound, or as if the skin had burned.

I think it's a material that would be interesting to see in a horror game, maybe one where zombie-like beings are infecting people with a virus that causes the skin to burn.

Vadim Tougeron is an artist who has skills in creating impressive textures. You can imagine how they feel to the touch, or the kind of scenarios where you could find them.

In the past, we shared an interview where Tougeron explained how he created an infected surface material inspired by Stranger Things. This one looks more like veins, but it's also very realistic.

He has also created materials that are not gross but actually nice to look at, like the Art Deco Collection or the Decorative Wood Paneling.

If you want to see more gross things, check out this grotesque material that looks like intestines.
