3D Character Artist Raf Grassetti, Former Studio Art Director for God of War, showcased this artwork depicting mysterious masks with raging faces.
The artist drew inspiration from the beloved anime series Dragon Ball Z, transferring its style and colors, and Japanese traditional Oni Masks, skillfully combining these two diverse sources of inspiration. The artwork was created using ZBrush, 3ds Max, and Photoshop.
Raf Grassetti left Sony Santa Monica in 2023 after nearly a decade of working there. The artist greatly contributed to the creation of the God of War series. Raf started his career at the studio in 2013 as a Lead Character Artist for God of War and then became an Art Director for God of War: Ragnarök. In November 2022, he took the position of Studio Art Director.
Later, Grassetti joined Netflix to work on a new original AAA game with other industry professionals, such as Joseph Staten, a former writer for Halo, Jerry Edsall, a former Technical Director at the Coalition, and Chacko Sonny, ex-executive producer of Overwatch.
