Vitalii Hryhoriv created this pretty over-realistic mimic chest during a ZBrush intensive course at Mykhailyk Art School, where he participated as a mentor. He shared that the model uses no textures or UV mapping, with all color achieved through vertex painting in ZBrush.
The goal of the project was to demonstrate the core sculpting principles, workflows, and methods covered in the course. Below are a few more renders of Vitalii's mimic:
