The team behind Crytek’s VR game the Climb presented its first dev diary about the process of developing unique experience. Developers describe this process as challenging but also as one the one that brings satisfaction.

The Climb is a game about solo climbing experience. Player will get a chance to conquer multiple heights, controlling movement in VR with two controllers, which will simulate the hands. It is stated that the game brings authentic to real rock climbing feelings and we can believe that. Developers spend every couple of days climbing themselves to make sure in-game experience feels natural.

The team discusses the process of developing the game as a challenging one and that is quite understandable – it is not an easy task to make climbing in VR look and feel smooth. What other activities would you like to experience through VR?
