Geoff Keighley announced the date of The Game Awards 2022: the annual video game awards ceremony is coming back on December 8. The ceremony will be streamed live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
This is the ninth show and this time, it introduces a new category – Best Adaptation "to recognize outstanding work adapting video game IP to other entertainment forms." It will take into account shows, movies, books, podcasts, comics, and other art forms that authentically adapt the source material.
Keighley promises something very special, and we're looking forward to seeing what it is. Last year's Game Awards beat its own record with 85 million viewers all over the world as it had every year, so hopefully, this year will attract an even greater audience.
