It is 12% more than last week.
HBO's The Last of Us show keeps getting attention, attracting new fans every week. The latest Episode 3 managed to overshadow the previous two: 6.4 million viewers tuned in on Sunday, which is 12% more than Episode 2 got the night it aired and a 22% better result than the day the series debuted.
This new number comes from Nielsen's measurement of linear viewers and Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) first-party data.
WBD also reported that the first two episodes are now averaging 21.3 million viewers combined. It is the first time ever HBO has four different series watched by 15 million viewers per episode: The Last of Us with 21.3 million viewers, The White Lotus Season 2 at 15.5 million, House of the Dragon with 29 million, and Euphoria Season 2 with 19.5 million.
Episode 3, called Long, Long Time, tells the story of Bill and Frank. While being the most successful in terms of first-day viewers so far, it got the lowest score among The Last of Us episodes on IMDb at the moment: 8.0, a contrast to the first two's 9.2 and 9.3.
