The fantasy fans' dearly loved book series about Geralt of Rivia is getting an upgrade from the traditional single-narrator audiobooks to full-cast stories. The first one to get a full-cast reading is Crossroads of Ravens, the ninth book in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher series, originally published in 2024. This makes perfect sense chronologically, since Crossroads of Ravens is a prequel to both the Witcher Saga and the two short story collections: Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish. 

Unlike the usual single-narrator reading with minimal sound effects in the background, a full-cast audiobook features complex audio production. With its immersive audio, it features music, sound effects, and multi-voice reading. This turns listening into a near-cinematic experience, minus the visual part.

The full-cast reading of Crossroads of Ravens stars Sam Stafford as Geralt, Richard Armitage as Preston Holt, Clare Corbett as Nenneke, priestess of Melitele, Tom Alexander as Artamon of Asguth, Peter Kenny as the narrator, and other brilliant voice actors. The audiobook is based on the official Polish-English translation of the series by David French.

The prequel follows Geralt of Rivia before he became known as the Butcher of Blaviken. The young, pure-hearted Kaer Morhen graduate learns to live on his own terms, as he soon realizes that the outside world does not welcome his kind. Under the guidance of Preston Holt, he begins to pave his way toward becoming the legend we know.

The Crossroads of Ravens full-cast audiobook was released on 17 September, 2026. It's available on several platforms, including Apple Books, Google Play, and Audible. The rest of the full-cast Witcher audiobooks are available for pre-order on Audible. Sword of Destiny and The Last Wish are coming in November 2026; Blood of Elves is scheduled for April 2027; Baptism of Fire will be out in May 2027; The Time of Contempt will be available in July 2027; and The Tower of the Swallow will be released in August 2027.
