Big-budget film production quality achieved by a 17-year-old artist.
Take a look at this fantastic 3D take on Knuckles the Echidna that looks like it was taken straight from the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, unveiled by 3D Generalist and Freelancer known online as BTB Animations.
Having already recreated Sonic, Super Sonic, and Shadow in 3D, the 17-year-old creator has now tackled yet another instantly-recognizable character from the legendary series, delivering a level of quality on par with big-budget film studios.
Unfortunately, the artist hasn't shared many details about the production process – and the project itself may still be WIP, as it has only appeared on BTB Animations' Twitter page and not on ArtStation – however, given the creator's past use of Blender and Substance 3D Painter, it's likely that these tools were used to bring Knuckles to life as well.
