This '90s Cartoon-Inspired Game Will Have You Exploring the Inside of a Middle-Aged Man
Yes, it is exactly how it sounds.
If you grew up in the 90s or early 2000s, this game will remind you of the cartoons you used to watch. Oh, My Doug is a Metroidvania action-adventure game that will have you exploring the body of an unhealthy middle-aged man.
Doug will try to get healthy, but this will cause chaos inside his body, and two tiny inhabitants will have to join forces to work together.
"Explore interconnected regions inspired by organs and bodily functions. Anatomy shapes navigation naturally, transforming Doug’s unhealthy body into a strange world of exploration, danger, and grotesque comedy."
With a traditional hand-drawn animation, mix the abilities of the heroes and create a more complete strategy of exploration and combat.
Weird creatures, talking with a sperm cell, being in a tooth cavity, or exploring a cemetery in the bowels. The game looks gross and bizarre. It reminds me of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, which I used to love as a child.
The '90s cartoon-style blends perfectly with the game's premise. The developer, Odd Men In Studios, has shared part of the development process on Twitter/X. You can check it out:
The game doesn't have a release date yet, but you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.
