The game's intricate, painterly visuals draw on watercolor and Chinese ink paintings, showing how the main character, Xio, sees the world through the creations of a living brush named Astra. The developers craft the fantastic world by hand, without using AI.

Harmonie tells a story of an artificial utopia set after a devastating war between Light and Shadow. The perfect world seems like a paradise, but it disrupts the universal balance, and Xio is tasked with restoring it – no matter what it takes, though the choices might be difficult.

The souls-like features high-risk, high-reward combat where health becomes a weapon: players can use a brush to turn health into Ink, increasing their power as they take greater risks. Combat emphasizes freedom of movement, allowing players to dodge, parry, and strike in intense duels where every mistake can have serious consequences.

Harmonie's characters feature unique mechanics, attacks, and personalities, alongside emotional weight and stories of loss, sacrifice, and impossible choices.
