The game's creator SOGA Std dedicated it to their best friend, who was an underwater welder and passed away a year after he retired.
In Weldiver, you'll be able to experience at least a part of the friend's journey into the ocean's depths, performing emergency repairs and replacing seabed infrastructure like optical cables, pipelines, and power lines.
