This Game Turns You Into 500,000 Physically Simulated Grains Of Sand

Would you play it?

J6 Games has shared a gameplay concept centered around a Marvel's Sandman-like character made entirely of physically simulated sand grains. Combat will be a key part of the experience, with the developer considering a direction influenced by Prototype games.

According to J6 Games' website, the story centers on revenge, as players set out to find the people responsible for turning them into this creature and decide what to do when they finally find them.

"You are every grain, all of them, physically simulated at once. Crawl as a dune. Rise as a walking figure made of yourself. Pour your whole body into one enormous fist. Then go find the people who did this to you."

Among the mechanics the developer has reportedly experimented with are object throwing and enemy consumption, grinding their bones into white, sand-like grains that you can then absorb into your form.

If playing a shapeshifting entity sounds like your kind of thing, check out Leafborn by Hasan Tarhan, which puts you in control of a fast-moving being made from thousands of leaves:

A more grounded take on the idea: Edenfall: Legacy of the First Wardens from Everflux Games allows players to transform between a human, wolf, raccoon, and raven:
