This Hand-Drawn Dungeon Crawler Expands with New Content
Talesworth Game Studio has added new spells, locations, and more to its upcoming title, The Secret of Weepstone.
Talesworth Game Studio, the developer of a hand-drawn dungeon crawler inspired by the classics of the genre, The Secret of Weepstone, continues the work and shares new content that will appear in the game.
The developer has added new features to the game's spell system and leveling mechanics, alongside a plan for Weepstone Town. New additions also include safe rooms where players can rest, and a player handbook, all this complete with new undisclosed art and content.
The Secret of Weepstone draws on classic D&D games of the 80's, such as Roll Dice, Fight Monsters, Embrace Death, and Loot Dungeons, and features distinct hand-crafted black-and-white graphics. The story is set in an abandoned keep, where a once-prosperous village of Weepstone lies. Its leader's mind is plagued, and six commonfolk are tasked with uncovering the mystery behind it.
Since we last covered the game in October, the developer has shared new sneak peeks at the project, including a WIP video with variants of the game design, a showcase of the in-progress unlockable Dice Sets feature, and more:
