This Indie Game Features Hand-Made Models Brought to 3D with Photogrammetry

Take a look at Zlin City: Arch Moderna by polyperfect, an upcoming unique and visually appealing game powered by Unreal Engine 5, which was inspired by a real-life city in the Czech Republic and crafted using hand-crafted techniques and cutting-edge technologies.

The developer drew inspiration from his hometown and decided to recreate it in the game using modeling, 3D printing, hand-painting, and 3D scanning. The project captures the aesthetics of hand-crafted miniatures, kids' toys, and puppet animations, with their unique intricate charm.

Zlin City: Arch Moderna is a unique mix of a strategy and an educational game. You take on the role of an architect and build a modern city in the gardens, following the functionalist principles that are the basis for the city's architecture in real life. The story itself is set in the 1930s and 1940s and was inspired by the real historical events. The game explores the lives of the city's dwellers, sharing their stories and struggles, such as a poor boy from a village becoming a master and a young couple getting a family home.
