This Tool Generates Photorealistic Procedural Interiors

Infinigen Indoors is based on Blender.

Princeton Vision & Learning Lab

Princeton Vision & Learning Lab presented Infinigen Indoors, a free Blender-based procedural generator of photorealistic 3D interiors. It can create various indoor assets, including furniture, architectural elements, and appliances.

The tool is an extension of the Infinigen system, which makes natural scenes from randomized mathematical rules, no AI needed. Indoors uses a constraint-based arrangement system and a solver that generates scene compositions that maximally satisfy the constraints to make sure the rooms are plausible.

The generated objects can be exported in standard 3D formats and used for training embodied agents in real-time simulators.

As noted by CG Channel, the generator provides relatively detailed results but is limited to house interiors at the moment and can't make commercial environments. Its assets are available in OBJ, FBX, STL, PLY, and USD formats.

You can get Indoors as part of Infinigen 1.4.0 under a 3-Clause BSD license and install it as a Python module or a Python script in Blender, but with limitations. It supports Linux and macOS and has experimental support for Windows.
