This Tool Gives Every Blender Object Its Own Undo History
Works across Object Mode, Sculpt, Paint, Pose, Animation, and other editors.
Blender's default undo system uses a single timeline for everything, so if you adjust one object, then continue working on several others, undoing that original change means stepping back through all the edits made in between. SmartUndo+ by kunemann gives every object, shader, Geometry Nodes setup, and Compositor tree its own dedicated undo history, which means you can undo changes on only the specific item you're working on.
SmartUndo+ runs in the background as you work, there's no setup needed and nothing extra to keep track of. Point at an object, node tree, or work in Edit Mode, UV Editor, Paint Mode, Pose Mode, or the Graph Editor, the shortcut only undoes changes for that specific area. Every part has its own separate undo history.
You can also save your undo history directly inside the .blend file. SmartUndo+ supports Blender 5.0 and newer versions, including the recently released Blender 5.2 LTS.
Purchase SmartUndo+ here and use the code kunemann at checkout to get 20% off.
