This Useful Voxel-Based Character Damage System Adds Wounds Wherever You Click

A great addition to Sword Hero.

ForestWare, the developer of Sword Hero, an upcoming low-poly physics-based adventure, set up a neat voxel-based character damage system, which allows you to add wounds to the character by simply clicking on their body parts.

This procedural system was inspired by Left 4 Dead and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which have similar mechanics. It can support any number of wounds, according to the developer, without any additional overhead and separate channels for burns, scars, and bruises.

ForestWare has recently also introduced a tool that helps them place and adjust skeletons in the game, streamlining the whole process.

Sword Hero is still in development, and you can help it by supporting its Kickstarter when it comes online.
