tinyBuild CEO Discusses Success of Cozy Room Restoration Game Hozy
The game earned $2.2 million in sales.
Hozy, a cute stylized game where you restore and redecorate neighborhood houses, sold 200,000 copies and earned $2.2 million in just 3 weeks since its launch. This success is thanks to the developer Come On Studio and publisher tinyBuild, who poured a lot of effort into the game's production.
tinyBuild's CEO, Alex Nichiporchik, shared the journey that helped Hozy reach the numbers: "No magic or luck, just really hard and dedicated work."

The company found the game at the DevGAMM conference in 2024, "as a really cozy black and white prototype," and helped Come On Studio "bring color and depth to it." In 2025, it was announced at tinyBuild Connect and immediately achieved 24,000 wishlists, with 250-270 more per day.
In August 2025, heavy marketing started: "Wholesome mailing, Tiny Teams, paid shortform TikTok/IG campaign + playtest update → huge jumps," Nichiporchik said.
Then, the publisher ran 8 months of creator campaigns with new levels or seasonal decor to show off. Finally, the team managed to keep around 1,300 wishlists a day until Steam Next Fest, which brought another 74,000.
"Many indie devs feel like marketing and development are separate. It’s one and the same for us."

Nichiporchik mentioned that new content every month and social media posts were "everything for marketing."
"Super tactile physics, relaxed 'no wrong answers' gameplay, and hyper-detailed objects did the rest."

So if you're planning to release your own game, you now know what to do. Nichiporchik also thinks that updates, discounts, and bundles (Hozy was also shipped tied to House Flipper, Tiny Glade, and Tiny Bookshop) help transform all these wishlists into sales.
