Newzoo has released its April 2026 PC and console rankings, following engagement and revenue across major gaming markets. One of the highlights is that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream became the top new release by revenue in 2026 so far, driven by Nintendo's large existing install base.
Console MAU rankings saw no movement month-over-month, and PC engagement remained concentrated around long-established titles, such as Counter-Strike 2, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, and League of Legends. According to Newzoo, this reflects how difficult it is for newer titles to break into a market where player routines, progression systems, and social networks are already firmly established around mature live-service ecosystems.
