Try This Peaceful Game Where You Search for Four-Leaf Clover

One in a Thousand is a charming experience that captures the feeling of childhood nostalgia.

Take a look at this pleasant, relaxing game, where you search for a lucky four-leaf clover in a field full of clovers. One in a Thousand is a new project by Developer MattLovelace, which brings the nostalgia of childhood – a "little throwback to simpler, carefree times," as the developer puts it.

MattLovelace paid great attention to detail: the assets, except for the fonts, are custom-made, and the leaflet patterns and shapes are based on the ones that the developer found in real-life clovers. There are 10 authentic leaflet patterns and shapes inspired by real wild clovers found in grass patches around Piedmont, Italy.

The experience is accompanied by immersive sound effects, and the gameplay recreates the real-life challenge of finding a lucky plant, with odds of 1 in 2,500 in-game compared with roughly 1 in 5,000 in reality.

In One in a Thousand, you can keep a collection book tracking every four-leaf clover you find and learn new facts about the plant, check out botanical curiosities and inspirational quotes, along with gameplay hints. The game features a bonus: you might even find the elusive five-leaf clover.
