If you are a fan of factory-building games like Factorio or Satisfactory, take a look at Bioneers, an upcoming indie game developed by Azza Apps, where you can create a digital organism by combining cells and managing its biological processes.

Bioneers is a relaxing strategy game that mixes the mechanics of factory-building with organism simulation. Instead of buildings, there are cells, the conveyor belts are replaced by vessels, and instead of enemies, there are viruses.

The game has a high level of authenticity, as there are various types of cells – skin, nerve, fat, bone, muscle, and more, which you need to connect into working systems, such as respiratory, excretory, digestive, and others. Moreover, animations of the cells in the game are designed based on behavioral models observed in living organisms.

You can choose which type of digital organism you are creating: it can be a predator, a symbiont, or a herbivore. You need to sustain your creature's organism, balance its energy and resource consumption, as well as react to threats posed by viruses, protecting the biological system by producing immune defenders.
