Tutorial: Creating a Customizable Suede Material

This material will allow you to adjust the levels of detail and wear.

Check out this cool tutorial, released by Texture & Material Artist Jeremy Seiner back in June. In this tutorial, the author shows us how to set up a proper suede leather material that you can use on shoes, jackets, and other upholstery applications. To achieve the final result, Seiner uses only Substance 3D Designer.

What's more, the material that you will achieve in the end will be highly customizable. You will be able to customize how much detail the leather has and adjust the patchy worn effect using Noises. This feature makes the material a wonderful resource for Prop Artists.
