Tutorial: Turning 3D Renders Into Hand-Drawn-Like Images

Learn how to create a line art Post Process Material in Unreal Engine with this great tutorial by Andrea Giampietro.

In case you missed it, back in December, Senior Tech Artist at Splash Damage Andrea Giampietro shared an informative tutorial explaining how to set up an amazing shader that will enable you to turn your 3D renders into hand-drawn-like images.

In this tutorial, the artist covered the entire working process behind the line art Post Process Material that can be created in both Unreal Engine 5 and Unreal Engine 4, demonstrated the code, and shared some tips and tricks along the way.

According to Andrea, this tutorial is only the first installment in the upcoming series of educational videos dedicated to various techniques that can be used to give 3D models hand-drawn looks. We highly recommend checking out the artist's YouTube channel so as not to miss any future tutorials.
