Tutorial: Using VEX for Procedural Modeling

Learn how to use VEX for modeling in Houdini with Matt Wagar.

Matt Wagar, a technical artist and game developer from SideFX shared procedural modeling workflow in Houdini using VEX. VEX is a C-like programming language for writing custom codes in Houdini. In the video, Matt first discussed, and compares different ways of creating custom geometry in Houdini using codes and also shared useful VEX functions in Houdini. After covering the basics, there goes a recorded production process with each step being explained.

This tutorial will work for you even if have no experience in coding. However, for better understanding, it’s required to have some basic technical knowledge.
