Ubisoft's Beyond Good & Evil 2 is Still in Active Development

The company is also working on new games for Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and The Division.

Ubisoft confirmed that the long-awaited action-adventure game Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in active development. In its Q&A, the company names it among such titles as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull & Bones, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Roller Champions™, Star Wars, and the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced in 2017, showing an in-engine demo in July, and it hasn't been an easy road for the game since then. In 2018, it got another update, but that's about it. We knew the studio is working on it as it is hiring for the game, but to have an official confirmation is still nice.

Ubisoft is also preparing new games for its franchises: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and The Division.

Hopefully, we'll learn more at Ubisoft Forward, which will be back on July 7. The event promises to showcase Skull and Bones – an open-world multiplayer pirate game inspired by the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of Piracy. On July 10, the company will "reveal updates and news on multiple games and projects from Ubisoft teams around the world," let's hope one of the games mentioned above will be present there.
