Ubisoft's Future Will Become Clear by Friday, the Studio Announces

The developer's financial report, along with a follow-up conference call that will presumably reveal what the deal behind this whole ordeal is, will be released by the end of the working week

UPD: The report has been published.

Original article: In case you missed the news, Ubisoft caused a stir last week by delaying the release of its financial report for the first half of fiscal year 2025-26 and suspending trading of its shares and bonds, fueling speculation that these steps are leading up to the annnouncement about Ubisoft being acquired by someone – and not in a "half-measure" sort of way like their Tencent deal, but as a full-blown absorption.

Recently, the studio shared a follow-up statement announcing that the financial report will be published by Friday, November 21, at the latest, indicating that the subsequent investor call, scheduled to take place right after the results are released, will also happen by then, finally revealing the reasons behind the debacle and clearing the air on whether Ubisoft is actually being purchased or not.

The listing of Ubi's shares and bonds, the statement reads, will also resume at the opening of trading on Friday, November 21, 2025. To clarify, Ubisoft shares are traded on the Euronext Paris stock exchange, which opens at 9 AM CET (3 AM EST, 12 AM PST), meaning the company's ultimate fate will be known within the next 27 hours as of this writing – so plan your schedule accordingly and get your popcorn ready.

Prior to the trading halt, the company's stock price had dropped to a 13-year low, reaching its lowest point since 2012. This followed a series of financial statements from Ubisoft, all showing the company's profits declining quarter after quarter.
