UE-Based Real-Time NavMesh Editing With Boolean Operations

The system was written for an upcoming real-time strategy HŌRU.

The developer of HŌRU, an upcoming Total War/Empire at War-inspired real-time strategy with large-scale battles, has recently shared several mind-blowing demos continuing to showcase the game's navigation mesh system. The newly-shared demos provided a look at the cool feature for real-time NavMesh editing with boolean operations, capable of layering edits on top of the existing auto-generated NavMesh. According to the author, the NavMesh was written from the ground up in Unreal Engine and is used for the game's craters, bridges, and more.
