Canyon by Tobias Koepp

There are two categories of licenses, games and non-games.

Games category includes:

  • Publishing License works best for game developers, creators, students, and instructors. You will get started for free and pay 5% when your project succeed. With this license, you will get all Unreal Engine features, all learning materials, community-based support, and entire Quixel Megascans Library.
  • Custom Games License gives you a wider range of opportunities, such as premium support, custom license terms, and options for onsite training.

For non-game purposes, Unreal Engine also offers 2 types of licenses with royalty-free distribution for internal projects and custom application:

  • Creators License goes completely free and suits well if you are working on personal or free non-game projects.
  • If you are looking for a direct relationship with Epic Games, then Unreal Enterprise Program will be a perfect choice. With the program aside from standard options, you will get royalty-free distribution for commercial off-the-shelf products, premium support, and options for onsite training. The cost of the program is $1,500USD per seat/year.
