Helder Pinto, an accomplished 3D Environment Artist and Game Developer who previously worked on such titles as Overwatch and Crysis, has provided a much-anticipated update on Europa, a stylized exploration adventure game with The Legend of Zelda and Studio Ghibli vibes, announcing that the upcoming game is participating in the ongoing Steam Next Fest, meaning that the playable demo version of Europa is now available for download.
For those unaware, the development of Europa started all the way back in 2018, with the creator describing the upcoming title as a "peaceful game of adventure, exploration, and meditation". Powered by Unreal Engine, the game is being solo-developed by Pinto, with London-based studio Future Friends Games acting as the publisher.
Set on a lush terraformed Jupiter moon, Europa puts you in the shoes of an android named Zee, who must run, glide, and take flight across the landscape to unravel the mysteries of a fallen utopia and uncover the story of the last surviving human.
As you journey through this world, you'll gradually enhance the capabilities of your Zephyr jetpack, propelling yourself higher into the skies until you can effortlessly soar freely among the clouds.
