The dev says we can expect the generator to be released in around a week.
Last week, Technical Artist and Geometry Nodes enthusiast Hothifa Smair captivated the internet by introducing his upcoming procedural generator for Blender that enables users to easily create and customize entire cities, complete with a diverse range of buildings, roads, lamp posts, traffic lights, parking lots, vegetation, and more.
With the add-on's release steadily approaching, the artist has presented another behind-the-scenes demo, offering a closer look at the tool's capabilities, and addressed some of the community's questions about ICity, the generator's official name.
According to Hothifa, ICity is in its final stages of production and will be released on Blender Market within a week. Each building created by the add-on will have a standard height that will be applied procedurally, which can be adjusted to better fit individual preferences.
Moreover, the developer mentioned that while efforts are being made to allow ICity's creations to be exported in various formats, this functionality is not yet available. Presumably, it will be introduced in one of the post-launch updates to the add-on.
We highly encourage you to follow Hothifa on Twitter so as not to miss the add-on's upcoming release.
