Upcoming UE4 Plugin: Hemisphere Skies

Check out a new plugin for Unreal that produces stunning results. 

Wouter Weynants is developing an Unreal Engine 4 plugin called Hemisphere Skies that will help you set up photorealistic lighting and skies in real-time. 

The developer shared a couple of first tests of his new system based on real-life time-lapse recordings in HDR.  The videos recorded in Unreal Engine 4.23 show that the new system provides stunning realistic results. 

Features:

  • Editor Integration. Full sequencer support and intuitive UI
  • EV100 Mode. Use accurate cd/m2 and lux values to light your scene
  • Dynamic Lighting. Fully dynamic with a custom SkyLight-based solution
