Using Lattice For Soft Body Simulation In Blender

Learn how to use Blender 5.0's Lattice Deform Selected.

Riley Brown recently shared a tip for adding soft body physics in Blender by applying the simulation to a lattice instead. While this isn't a brand-new trick, Blender 5.0 introduces the Lattice Deform Selected feature, which makes things much easier.

"Your critical soft body settings on the lattice are: turn on stiffness, turn on self collision, under edges adjust pull, push, and bending," commented the artist. Here's an example using a completely ordinary object (view at your own discretion).
