VFX Artist Showed What Pokémon Would Look Like in Real Life

Everybody knows Pokémon to be a series of games featuring cute colorful creatures. But what would it be like to see them in real life? VFX Artist Seth Whittenburg tried to recreate possible encounters with Pokémon, and it sometimes looks terrifying.

Whittenburg told Polygon that he grew up watching Pokémon and felt inspired to start making 3D animations after the Detective Pikachu movie came out. He’s a self-taught artist and has been creating visual effects for three years, although he started using his now favorite Blender a year ago. He said creating the videos is pretty time-consuming and he's been spending 10-14-hour days at his computer for the past half-year.
