Warcraft 3 Modding Hub With 100,000+ Threads Is Closing After 27 Years

Warcraft 3 World Editor Help, a forum with a 27-year history where players discussed the World Editor, custom maps, triggers, models, and other Warcraft 3 modding topics, is closing.
As first reported by PC Gamer, the news came from an announcement by the forum admin known as The Helper, who wrote about the shutdown and expressed gratitude to the community for support and contribution: "Over 27 years of this site from a personal homepage, to a Blizzard Tech Support site, a World Editor Help Site, and then a community of Helpers from then until now." The site will be archived and still available to people who want to access it, but it won't be promoted or made available on forums where bots or search engines can find it.
"For many of those years I was a lost soul floating around the darkside of the Internet, skimming the edges and really just not having any kind of focus. That has changed. I am no longer a lost soul. I am now on Team Jesus and unfortunately my path moving forward does not include having this site competing for my time. I have taken a 180 degree turn from where this site was focused and now I just cannot follow the path that I am on with this too," the announcement reads.
According to The Helper, the date for the forum's closure has not been defined yet, but it will probably occur "before the end of the month." The related Warcraft sites, along with other hosted sites like the NUON forum and NUON-Dome, will likely continue separately from the forum.
The forum contains over 100,000 threads about Warcraft 3 mods, totaling more than 850,000 comments, since Warcraft 3 was released in 2002.
Blizzard released Warcraft 3: Reforged in 2020 with upgraded character models, enhanced textures, and more. Modders from LoreCraft Designs released a project that recreates Warcraft 2 on Reforged's engine:
