Watch an Anime Girl Playing With Blender's UI in This Fourth Wall-Breaking Animation

A digital character becomes sentient in Kensyouen_Y's latest masterpiece.

Presenting what has to be the greatest and most creative 3D animation of 2024, 3D Modeling Artist Kensyouen_Y has blown up on Twitter once again with a magnum opus project that has already racked up over 9 million views and 250,000+ likes in under a day.

Created with Blender, Kensyouen_Y's masterpiece breaks the fourth wall by depicting an anime-style 3D girl model becoming sentient and playing around with Blender's UI, messing around with different tools and functionalities, changing her own hair color via Shader Nodes, and eventually crashing the software with her boisterous high jinks.

While the concept of character models breaking the fourth wall in CG projects is not new, it is definitely taken to the next level thanks to Kensyouen_Y's immense artistic talent, combining tons of fun ideas with smooth animations.

Also, check out the artist's earlier animation featuring our unruly protagonist:

Previously, Kensyouen_Y showed how the character's hair was set up in Maya, illustrating that despite the hairstyle's apparent complexity, it all becomes quite simple when you look at each individual strand separately.

You can see the artist's previous works by visiting Kensyouen_Y's Twitter page.

We also highly recommend checking out the author's YouTube channel, featuring lots of mesmerizing timelapse videos.
