Where Winds Meet Reached Over 100 Million Players
The Hidden Mountain finale also has a release date.
Where Winds Meet is an open-world action-adventure RPG that came out in November 2025, and it has been very well received ever since.
Back in December 2025, the game reached 15 million players since its launch, and a mobile version was released that same month. It has now been announced that the game has reached 100 million players globally.
Where Winds Meet is a free wuxia game set during China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. A few months ago, we did an interview with NetEase Games about the story behind the game.
On July 23, the beginning of the Hidden Mountain expansion was released, and during Gamescom 2026, the studio revealed that the Hidden Mountain third and final chapter will be launched on September 16; it also released a trailer.
The final chapter will make the player face Qianye, the antagonist who caused tragedy in the protagonist's life. It will also include two fights with special bosses, two open-world field bosses, and new gameplay features and activities.
The game lets you experience and learn about the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era, as it has real historical figures and other characters that are rooted in real events.
