Xbox: Hi-Fi RUSH Was a "Break Out Hit"

Xbox Games Marketing VP defended the game against rumors.

Last week, journalist Jeff Grubb said he'd heard Hi-Fi RUSH "didn't make the money it needed to make" and some people responsible for Xbox games sales could be in trouble. However, VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg denied the statement, saying the game was "a break out hit ... in all key measurements and expectations."

While he didn't talk about the Game Pass strategy, the decision to shadow-drop the game, or how much it was supposed to make, Greenberg is definitely right about Hi-Fi RUSH's popularity among players: the Xbox version currently has an 8.9 user score on Metacritic, with Overwhelmingly Positive reviews from Steam users on PC.
