In a recent episode of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV, Masayoshi Yokoyama, the Director of the Like a Dragon franchise, shared some good news for the fans of the series.
"I'm just going to say, I think we'll do a Kiwami 3 at some point," Yokoyama shared (via The Gamer). "I think we'll definitely do it sooner or later."
Yokoyama didn't reveal the team's upcoming plans, but he did mention that they plan to remake the third installment in the future. The action game has already seen a re-release, with the PS4 version launching in 2018 and subsequent releases on PC and Xbox consoles in 2021.

Previously, the team revamped the first and second Yakuza games, titled Kiwami versions. Recently, Yokoyama also announced casting auditions for their next game, although details about it remain undisclosed.
Speaking of the studio's recent projects, on January 26, Ryu Ga Gotoku and Sega launched Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which sold over a million copies and became the fastest-selling installment in the franchise.
