You'll Find All Kinds of Mechas in This New Artbook

TANKHEAD – Mechanical Encyclopedia Artbook was created by Emerson Tung, the concept artist behind DOOM and Warhammer 40K.

Fans of mechas should be excited about this awesome book I'm going to show you. Created by Emerson Tung, the concept artist behind DOOM and Warhammer 40K, and Tim Popelier, writer and 3D artist, TANKHEAD – Mechanical Encyclopedia Artbook has everything you want to know about all kinds of mechanical creatures.

Crabs, dinosaurs, hens, ships, and other bizarrely shaped mechas are waiting for you on the pages of this book, all complete with specifications and some information about the model.

"Giant armored vehicles called tankheads clash on the battlefields of the Neverending War. These walking behemoths come in many devastating forms, battling across land, air and sea."

The Deluxe Edition of the artbook includes:

  • The 232-page book itself
  • 2-sided folded poster, 33 x 23.5" (world map and mech chart)
  • 2 4x6" sticker sheets featuring faction flags and logos
  • 3 8x10" prints (FA5 Roster Artillery, FT3 Hen Transport, Type 33 Heikegani)

If you like his works, check out Tung's other book – The Art of DOOM: Eternal, featuring concept art and commentary from the DOOM Eternal developers.

You can pre-order TANKHEAD now for €55,95 (about $61) and receive it in May 2024. Tung's other projects are available on ArtStation and are definitely worth a look.
