Iwo Plaza and Konrad Reczko are making a collection of fun UI elements.
Some ideas are so good you want to eat them. Literally, in Iwo Plaza's case. The developer presented a jelly switch so satisfying that you wouldn't be able to stop clicking it. The idea was based on software engineer Konrad Reczko's jelly slider:
The unusual UI elements were made using TypeGPU, a TypeScript library that enhances the WebGPU API.
"Once again, SDFs gave us a lot of freedom to make the form of the object dynamic and jiggly. Konrad built a great foundation for implementing SDF-based UI components, can’t imagine us stopping here," Plaza, who's lead developer on TypeGPU, said.
