Mohrta has come a long way since our last encounter.
Did you know you wanted a mix of FromSoftware's games on Doom's engine? Well, you will when you see Mohrta, a nonlinear FPS blending action, exploration, and dungeon crawling inspired by Dark Souls and Shadow Tower Abyss.
The last time we met, the game didn't have a Steam page, but now, you can finally enjoy its unusual aesthetics in a lengthy demo available on the platform.

"Mohrta is a slow-paced, exploration-heavy FPS game, where you delve into unique and bizarre dimensions, fight gnarly creatures, and defeat deific bosses. Tackle these areas and bosses in any order that you choose, build and upgrade your arsenal to suit your playstyle, and uncover a hidden truth behind the events of the game’s story."

I didn't get a chance to experience this intriguing adventure myself, but PC Gamer's Ted Litchfield notes its interesting approach to what we're otherwise used to, like healing by squeezing a living doll or letting fancy animals upgrade your stuff.
"Your mana gets upgraded by a haughty teal lion wearing a fez and smoking a hookah, while weapon upgrades are handled by a great big steam golem smith who turns out to be piloted by a cheeky little imp."
