Cloud Imperium Games shared statistics.

At CitizenCon 2952 several days ago, Cloud Imperium Games founder Chris Roberts shared some Star Citizen statistics revealing that out of the 4.1 million registered accounts, 1.7 million players purchased the game.

The game reached 50,000 average daily unique players and peaked at 130,000 several times, which is impressive compared to the 10,000 players in 2017 and 32,000 last year.

It was also said that the average playtime this year is 3 hours a day, another great achievement in comparison to 48 minutes in 2017, 64 minutes in 2018, and 2 hours in 2019. In 2022, players have spent 36 million hours in the game.

Star Citizen's crowdfunding has achieved another milestone recently, passing $505 million at the time of writing.

Star Citizen is a multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game that was announced in 2012 and is still in development for PC. You can play Alpha 3.17 by purchasing one of the packages starting from $45 on the website.

"Star Citizen puts ultimate control in the hands of the player, whether you're making your way as a cargo hauler, exploring the vastness of space, or scraping out a living outside the law, you will navigate through a mixture of procedurally generated and handcrafted worlds and interact with a variety of characters."
