2D Animation App Callipeg Is Coming To PC
Callipeg Studio will be available as a one-time purchase for €35.
With many professional animation tools locked behind expensive subscriptions, affordable alternatives can be hard to find. Callipeg may be worth a look: this professional hand-drawn 2D animation app is coming to macOS and Windows later this year.
Callipeg is available as a one-time purchase per platform, priced at €35 for macOS and Windows, €18 for iPad and Android tablets, and €5 for iPhone. Linux support isn't planned for the initial release, but it's a possibility for the future.
Apparently, there won't be any significant feature differences between Callipeg's mobile and PC versions. The interface is being adapted for desktop use with customizable layouts and multi-screen support. As for a release date, nothing has been announced yet, but the developers say Callipeg Studio is currently in the final stages of beta testing.
Callipeg offers a complete set of professional 2D animation tools: frame-by-frame and keyframe animation, advanced onion skinning, customizable brushes, a fully featured timeline supporting up to 60 FPS, and much more.
