Motion Design Software Cavalry Is Now Free
It's available in a full version and can be used for commercial projects.
What an interesting week it has been. It began with V-Ray becoming free in Blender, followed by Maxon announcing that its recently acquired motion design and VFX app Autograph is now free as well. Canva also joined in, making its 2D animation and motion design tool free.
The full version of Cavalry is now available to individual artists, including for commercial use, while enterprise users still need to purchase a license. This means there are now two free replacements for After Effects to choose from.
Purchased by Canva in February, Cavalry joins Affinity, another free Canva product that has been relaunched as an all-in-one design platform combining Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher. If you’re not familiar with Cavalry, it's a 2D animation tool with professional-grade features, many of which are inspired by 3D software.
